Well, I’m realizing that while the blog that’s in my imagination is great, the one that exists here has been sorely lacking. It’s not that I haven’t been doing anything, though. So it’s about time that I made some small effort to bring things back up to date.

This is the Flora scarf from Knitty.com. Pardon the washed out look in this photo. The real colors are much more rosy.

This was my first experience with a knitted flower, and I had a lot of fun doing it. After looking at pictures of other people’s Floras, I see now that I didn’t quite “get” the instructions for the twisty fluffy bits that are supposed to be in the center. I couldn’t see that part very clearly in the Knitty photograph — so mine are much more subtle. I like both versions though, so I’m not at all unhappy.

All in all this was a fun and quick project and would make a great gift.
