I'm sure it was a bigger day for the cats than for you! :) My parents' next-door neighbors had a mother raccoon give birth to several babies in their fireplace while they were away on vacation. The raccoons eventually broke the glass on the fireplace doors and destroyed their living room (white carpet and the whole bit). After that you can bet they got that chimney capped pretty quick! I’m glad it was “only” a bird and that you were able to free it pretty easily. I’m sure it was a bigger day for the cats than for you! :)
