Chrismas Tree Explorer
Well, it’s not like I didn’t know this would happen . . .

That’s Bridget, our resident Christmas Tree Explorer. I didn’t even get the entire thing put together before she’d managed to climb up into the branches. On the plus side, anchoring the feet of the base with hand weights has so far kept the tree standing upright. But I’m a little concerned about whether or not I’ll actually be able to decorate the tree at this rate.
As for today’s knitting, I finished the first of my toddler hats that I’m making as Christmas gifts. I was going to keep photos of them secret until after the holidays, but I couldn’t resist this shot of Sadie modeling the hat for us. (She sat there cooperatively wearing it for a good few minutes while Kate ran to find the camera. What a good sport!)

HI, I love your cat in the xmas tree.
My father once invented the absolut cat proof xmastree foot: he planted the thing in a bucket of concrete… No way the cat could turn that one over… it would always fall back to upright position.
Best wishes IDA - an occasional reader.

Tooo cute. Very tolerant kitty with the hat on. I’m sure Spud would have started eating the hat (he has some freaky fetishes!).

My boyfriend was looking at google for something on “Meowers” and found your blog. I too have a craft blog about knitting, sewing, crafting, etc. and I too call my cat Meowers! Kind of strange, huh!? Maybe we are long lost sisters or something!
