Day of the Rompers
Progress, progress. I crossed off two more items on my Christmas craft list — two adorable baby rompers. I’ve been blessed to meet 4 brand-new people this year, so I have lots of little ones to help spoil over the holidays. These fleece rompers are for the smallest ones in the lot, and I’ve got another pattern in mind for the two slightly older tots. I love sewing for babies! I can shop for fabric in the remnant bin, and the projects go so quickly.
Here are the tiny hats that go with the outfits! I suppose that I shouldn’t post too many pictures of gift projects that I want to keep secret… but these are too cute not to share! I’ll resist the urge to show pictures of the rompers themselves, for now.

On the other end of the spectrum is a gift project that’s giving me nothing but fits. I won’t picture it here, just in case the intended gift-reciever might see it. All I’ll say is that it involves sewing canvas that’s been fused together with some other fabric using this awful, sticky webbing. It does it’s fusing job just fine all right… but the substance is clinging to my machine’s needle and literally gumming up the works. The whole thing is about 75% finished… but right now I don’t know whether I’ll muddle through the remaining steps or not. I threw it in a corner last night and have been much happier working on fleece outfits for little people instead!
By the way, here’s an over-due picture of the completed Halloween costumes — they turned out so cute!
